Terms of Service
These terms cover your use of ExplainOwl at explainowl.com. By using it you agree to them. Contact: websitebond@gmail.com. How we handle your data is in the Privacy Policy.
What the tutor is
The tutor makes explanations, pictures, voices and videos with the help of AI. AI can make mistakes. Check important answers with your teacher or textbook, especially before an exam. The tutor is a learning aid, not professional advice.
Your account
- You need to sign in (with Google or with a link sent to your email) to make lessons and videos. Watching a lesson someone shared with you does not need an account.
- Use your own email address, one account per person, and keep access to it to yourself. You are responsible for what is done with your account.
- If you are under 13, or under the age at which your country lets young people agree to online services on their own, use the tutor with a parent's or teacher's permission.
- You can delete your account at any time in My library. We may block or delete an account that breaks these terms or puts the service or other people at risk.
Free limits
The tutor is free, with daily limits on how many lessons, videos and questions each account can make. When many people use it at once you may wait in a short line. We may change the limits to keep the service running for everyone.
Using it fairly
- Don't use the tutor to make harmful, hateful, sexual or illegal content, or to break other people's rights.
- Don't put personal details (yours or anyone else's) into questions or photos.
- Don't upload photos or files you have no right to use.
- Don't try to break, overload or scrape the service, get around the limits or the sign-in, or use someone else's account.
Lessons and links
A lesson can be watched by anyone who has its link, and the same saved lesson may be shown to another student who asks exactly the same question (without your name). You may use and share the lessons you make for learning and teaching. Some pictures carry a credit line (for example Creative Commons pictures); keep those credits when you share them.
YouTube
- If you connect your own YouTube channel, the tutor uploads only the videos you choose, with the title, privacy setting and made-for-kids setting you pick. You are responsible for what you publish on your channel, and YouTube's rules apply to it: YouTube Terms of Service.
- Uploads have their own daily limits (YouTube limits how many videos the tutor can upload each day).
- Lesson videos may also be published on our own YouTube channel.
Availability
We try to keep the tutor running and correct, but it is provided "as is", without guarantees, and features may change or stop. To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for losses caused by using it.

Changes
We may update these terms; the date above shows the latest version, and we will tell signed-in users about important changes.
